Default Help !! a/c not working Any gurus ??

My wifes car, 2000 NB tdi

I have just replaced my cooling fans as the a/c would not engage.
Now the compressor engages so the cooling fan module is working.

I have the wrong pressure in my a/c.

The pressure is showing 90 psi in both high and low circuits before switching on. I dont think freon is low.

With the compressor running, I am seeing 85 psi low and 100 psi high. I would be expecting 45-50 low 250 high.

The system has never been opened and it was working fine last fall.
Where should I start looking for the problem?

thanks

I am not a guru but have repaired A/C systems before! If the pressure remains high it can be one of two things: Compressor is bad or the orifice is bad. My thought is that the compressor is failing. I think it is worth taking it to an A/C repair place and ask for a professional check up. It should not cost a lot and might point you in a cheaper direction.
