Default Metallic Clunk

I am experiencing a metallic clunk sound on my drivers side front wheel area. If I hit a small bump with the windows down I can hear the clunk. My suspension is pretty rough, it takes bumps hard--is that normal? I have 81k on the car.

probably a busted CV boot....
