Aftermarket Radio inop after battery disconnect

i was in the process of replacing my ignition switch today.

I proceeded to put it half together as i am waiting for a harness. i set the readiness codes and everything was fine except:

*auto up/down windows
*aftermarket radio won't work or turn on

(i know i need a radio code with the stock radio, but what about aftermarket?)

Any suggestions??

if you hae the switch out of the ignition, the pin in the middle of the swtich needs to be pushed in (key in ignition pin) to make the radio work. i should know, i just went thru this.
