[QUOTE=EvilinaDM101;537478][COLOR="Magenta"]QUESTION for all the veterans that have done the Roswell GTG before....

Are there any plans to still do the night time beetle activities? Like putting lights on our beetles and whatnot and then going to some drive-in? And I know there has been talk about it but also no car show/trophy type event? Just really excited and can't wait!

OH and I know there is talk of drinking and being merry but do you guys think it will be just as fun for those that don't drink? :

there is a banquet saturday night , at the sally port , i was thinking of organizing a drive in movie cruise down to carlsbad on friday night , ive never been down there so i need to check into it for more details ,,and im not a drinker either ,, i get crazy with mountain dew in me !

Hmmmm Mountain Dew peeps...... That's frickin awesome!!

The drive-in idea always sounded cool when I read about them from the previous Roswell GTGs. Hmmmm if I am not mistaken Transformers 2 comes out June 24th...... Just a thought I would throw out there!

I'm not a big Transformers fan, but whatever we see is fine with me. Going to a drive-in with others NBs is the best part. It's not exactly our decision anyway! Transformers 2 will probably be playing since it comes out that weekend.

Please do, I'm trying to find more info on the Colorado caravan but am very unsuccessful with this mission (people don't reply E-mails). Dates and times are the most important since I have to plan time off at work.
I'm trying to hook on from Nederland, about 40 miles west of Denver.

Thanks, Rhonda

Don't know if Howie or BugMan posted this yet...

I just got off the phone with the Sally Port. We have 50 rooms in our booking of which 26 are reserved as of today. I feel that some of you have made reservations and have not asked for the "New Beetles Return to Roswell" bookings. People are complaining that the Sally Port is saying they are booked up for that week end. The booked up counts our 50 rooms which there should be 24 rooms left. You must tell them you are with the "New Beetles Return to Roswell" group to get your discount and , now, even get a room. I also suggest that if you did make reservations you confirm you got them in this "New Beelles Return to Roswell" block of rooms.

Again you should make reservations now! You can cancel up to June 11th with no cost to you if something happens and you can not attend - so nothing gained nothing lost. The phone number for the Sally Port is (575) 622-6430. If you have any trouble ask for Amy Morales, but Irene at the front desk is pretty good to.

See you in Roswell,
Earl "Cueball" McCutcheon
sorry, been really slammed at work and haven't been able to be here as often as I would like lately. May 17th my schedule with definitely shift to more of a play mode.

I just made my reservation at the Sally Port. I made sure to mention the 'New Beetles Return To Roswell' block and had absolutely NO PROBLEMS. I'm travelling alone so far, so I got a suite instead of 2 queen beds which was only $5 more, but there was still a choice on both floors. But hurry!

My advice is to call SOON to get your double room or suite at the Sally Port, and if you've already made reservations somewhere else but you want to stay at the Sally Port... you should call now and switch while you can! If you want, just saying...

Also, if anyone else is planning the trip solo (or even two peeps together that can sleep in one bed) & wants to share a room (half the price is always good, right?) let me know SOON and I will switch to a double room.

That's all! Looking forward to this.

I have good news. About a week ago I tried to make reservations at Sally Port but I was told they were full....so

I made reservations at the Motel 6.

After seeing a few folks recently saying they were still able to reserve rooms at Sally Port I tried again. This time I had better luck. I have now reserved a room in the "block" and am very happy that we will be staying with the group.

I contacted Motel 6 and told them someone else can have that room.

Is it June yet?

Yea!
Sally Port will be much better than Motel 6 - a lot of folks that did the Route 66 a couple years ago stayed there, and all I heard were complaints about the place.

Glad you got in!

Got my room booked. If someone wants to split a room I have no probs doing so. Just let me know.

Now it's just a matter of waiting.

Although this will give me time to do the timing belt, and struts on the car.
