What time are you guys arriving in Amarillo on Wed? What are your dinner plans and are you going to wait for the Central Caravan before heading out? If you are waiting, what are you guys going to do Thursday morning?

Susan - I don't think we've discussed any of this amongst ourselves so we're not sure. I don't think any of us on the caravan at that point are early risers, so we won't leave for Amarillo before 8am and it may well be more like 9am. that would put us in Amarillo around 6 - 7pm.

i researched road closings along my part of the route. this info is available from the web now, never thought to look it up before! here's a summary...

NC - nothing that affects us

TN - all lane closures occurring at night so hopefully won't affect us.

AR - 1.25 mile lane closure in Monroe county. this is right in the middle between memphis and little rock.

TX - in amarillo, left lane of I-40 (both EB and WB) closed nelson st to bolton st - this is about 1 mile

I was just wondering so I could come have dinner or have a glass of tea with the gang. there was some discussion about you guys doing the cowboy breakfast on thursday morning in Palo Duro Canyon. But if you guys aren't early risers, I would suspect that is out.
