If most of your friends also drive beetles...you are a NBO

If you call the same friends, and don't bother to ask about their spouses, kids or pets, but ask how their bug is doing, by name...you are a NBO

If your family members call you and ask how your bug is doing, by name....you are a NBO

if your non-Beetle owning friends ask, "Are you going/have you gone to any Beetle conventions?"

If the majority of your beetle friends only know you by your screen name..you might be a nbo

I know for me, most folks call me Marvin at beetle gtg's like Roswell.

so true.

In the same token...

If people identify you by your car, instead of you, you're a New Beetle Owner

I think more people knew Cup, than they knew me in Roswell .

If you have ever had to bring your own Bentley manual and VCDS to a shop to get a mechanic to work on your car, you might be an Early Adopting NBO

If you have ever got into a live verbal or forum argument over which years certain colors or options were available, you are a NBO.

If you will drive 2-4 hours just to have lunch and a movie with other Bug owners, you are a NBO.

If you drive for 4 days across the country from a "foreign" country, and share a room with a "Nut"... and you would do it again, you may be a New Beetle owner!

OK, this is so my life:

If you have to have the house rule that "your bug" doesn't count, you might be a NB owner...

If your kid is the most popular one on the playground when she gets dropped off at school, you might be a NB owner...

If you plan to go to an event a year ahead of time that you've already been to before just to see familiar faces and meet new people with the same car as you...you might be a new beetle driver

If you plan on going to an event, which you almost didn't make it to the first time due to car problems, again because you had so much fun the 1st time...you may be a new beetle driver
