It's never too far if you are going to Roswell. Just get an early start.

I was reflecting with Val just this past Sunday/Easter on my Roswell trip. I still can't believe I made a 1500 mile trip by myself! I will have an extra ignition switch just in case

and I am bringing a fuel filter since the one that my car needs was nowhere to be found anywhere near Roswell I can't believe you did that either but man it was cool hanging with ya glad you made the trip

I'm making the trip next year too! It was the best time I've had in a long time and met some really great people (and NBs.) As Antoine said, you could follow Howie and meet up with the central caravan along the way.

Yeah Casey it was crazy. I was kinda in between home and Roswell, so I thought I wouldn't waste my trip. It was so worth it!

It's always funny to hear what Jacob has in his trunk. He always carries spare parts of what he is expecting to die next...even if it is something he doesn't think he can repair himself - he would at least have the parts ready to be installed at the closest VW dealership or shop.
When we had our Roswell alternative get together of 2 the year that Roswell was canceled he had a few parts - one of which was a thermostat that he ended up having to replace in a burnt out service station on the way back home. He was driving with his laptop on monitoring the temperature (since he was having issues all weekend with overheating) when he finally came to the conclusion that he wasn't going to get home without changing it. Always to have someone with a VAG Com somewhere in your caravan or at least know who will have one at Roswell in case something seems fishy.

I wonder....if the ToD name badges are a hit this year, I wonder if we should do them for Roswell too?? Anyone have any thoughts? I too am excited and can't wait to go back! Hopefully we'll have an actual parade, not a race
