How about this one gang? Family and I were heading down to Florida last week and in the area of Quantico Virginia, I spotted this.

A Red Eos hardtop convertible with Michigan plates. Must be one of the early "beta" versions that VWoA has shipped over and is being driven around for testing.

So, they are for real gang, and should be showing up soon in your local dealers inventory listings.

There was a silver one at the Denver Auto Show in ... late March/early April. I kinda want one ... in blue.

That's probably the same EOS that was at THD4 in New Hampshire (pics at www.b5one.com). It was in this country less than a week when I got to sit in it.

Watching that top with it's huge roof pillars retract into the body is super sweet to watch.

I drove the eos at Waterfest....I drove it on the course they had set up. It drove very nicely and I didnt put it through its paces. I didnt want to break the car, which I am more than capable of doing.
My friend drove it with the top down and I with the top up. The poor guy inside it was so hot I couldnt deny him the top up for a few minutes. Besides, I have a convertible so I dont really need to know what its like to drive one.
Anyway, the top goes up/down in 22 seconds and the sunroof is a nice added bonus. Something I wish the beetle had. I didn't get to drive the stick shift though....they only had an automatic.
It is a great car and when my beetle's lease is up, I know I'm going to have to make a tough decision

I was at the VW dealership a week ago and they had an EOS there too. Had dealer tags so I guess it was just one they sent over for the salespeople to drive around or something. Didn't even realize it until I was walking out. I was parked 2 cars from it. I saw the EOS badging on it when I walked out and oogled it before I left. If only I had a camera with me...there was no one around it. Could have gotten some nice pics of it.
