Default GX3 gets the axe

GX3 is cut.

VW drops the GX3 due to liability concerns.

Attention VW, now is the time to bring out the
Dune and the Ragster beetles.
And building the Concept T would'nt be a bad idea either.

I would sell my beetle in a heartbeat if they made the concept T.

Or the W12, for that matter.

Dune. Dune. And, to top it off, a TDI Dune.

That's a shame. I saw endless possibilities for GX3 in the name of commuter car. Sure, the gasser model was intended to be a hotrod/motorcycle type vehicle, but imagine putting a small TDI/CDI/Whatever Diesel in that small of a vehicle - heck, even hybrid technology of some sort and you'd have a cheap and good lookin' commuter car on your hands...at nearly 100mpg!

Once upon a time, Corbin Motors had the Sparrow - it was an odd lookin thing, but @ $14k decked out, I would've bought one. All the joys of motorcycle privledges (insurance, HOV lane, etc) but the comforts of a car (HVAC, enclosed, stereo, etc).

Besides, it's unlikely the US would've had them anyway. We never get the really cool stuff!

Dreams shattered again. Oh well, guess I'll just get that GSX-R750 that I wanted to begin with. Then again, maybe that motorcycle company (in Holland I think) will produce that motorcycle with the TDI engine.
