Michelin's "Tweel" airless tire.
I found this pretty interesting, it doesn't look very cool on street cars but it might work well on SUV's. The tread is supposed to last three times as long as a regular tire.  Here's a link to one of many articles about them: http://www.sportbilen.se/e_news.php?id=89 -Blake

i watched something on TV about this they seem to be quite cool, though i dont see something like that going into production for normal use ( tire companies would have a fit about sales )
