Hmm; it's good lookin' stuff to me. Still re-reading the articles to make it all sink in.

It's still an internal combustion motor, but at least they're back trying to get rid of the cams and such.

Between the wankel rotary, coatesengineering's rotary valves, and this puppy, I think we're on a good track.

Now if only some major manufacturer would pimp that new tech as it's worth and stop trying to make hybrid stop-gap solutions.

That's pretty cool.
So it's better in almost all respects... yet no one wants to jump on it. *sigh*

One day... I hope

I've been drooling over rotary valves for years now, and still haven't heard of them in a true life application. Sure they make some motorcycle heads, and a couple one-off's but nothin' "production" yet.

The rotary engine's just a marvel... and this... well this is just awesome. I remember reading when they were doin' scram jet development stuff; how they kinda 'discovered' or began utilizing 'photo ignition'? forgot the term now.. basically 'FAST fire'.

They realized there's normal combustion, and REALLY FAST combustion (the kind that breaks motors); sounds like this quasiturbine can utilize that stuff... sick sick stuff. One day maybe Hopefully before I'm too old to care.... or remember.
