I took these this afternoon: Its a launch edition which appears to be a base model. No sunroof, cheap cloth seats, auto; but AWESOME looking wheels.

The white is really growing on me too.

So far my favorite colors are black, red and silver... and white not too far behind.

I'm curious to what a monochrome grill would look like as well. Guess we'll have to wait until someone does that mod.

Now I am torn between White, Denim Blue, and Toffee Brown. I thought the Platinum Grey would be cool, but in person, I think it looks better on the older NB's. Since I have to wait a minimum of several months to avoid the wife reading me the Riot Act, I will use this time to see which of the above colors (White, Blue or Brown) is the LEAST common, and go with it.

The cloth seats aren't cheap. Way better than the "base" V-Tex seats. Sporty, comfy, supportive, sport cloth heated seats. Think GTI. And it has the DSG transmission, not a standard autotragic.

I am torn between the Deep Black Pearl and Candy White. Knowing that the interior has exterior color accents, it is hard to go with 'just black'. 0_o

Right, I've seen several factory photos but not an actually personal photo with one. I was just surprised because VW isn't producing the Beetles with sunroof yet. Where they had difficulties with the roof hitting the trunk lid. So I'm just curious about this one.

Ruh roh! No sunroof & I won't even consider it. That's why I've not gotten overly excited about the MINI coupe.

Our salesman mentioned that the sunroof Beetles are 4 months out. Wonder what the hold up is.

(I know that several of the colors, and the back-up cameras/sensors for cars like CC and Tiguan are backordered because the tsunamis in Japan really F-d up production, but I can't imagine this would be the case with sunroofs...)

Next week my local dealer is supposed to get two turbo models with the sunroof?! He's going to give me a call when they come off the truck! I'll let you all know something about them when I see them. I told him about the sunroof issue and he had no idea what I was talking about. Apparently none of the sales team knew -_-. Sometimes it kills me when people try their damnedest to sell you stuff but when ask a question they have no idea what your talking about. I understand I have an unfair advantage, but if your gonna sell a product then know your product.

I'll be interested to see if indeed the sunroof cars get to your dealership, so keep me posted! (and maybe snap a pic or two!)

I have definitely found that a lot of sales people just repeat what they've been fed by people who don't know any better than they do. lol... Hubby and I generally know more about the new VW models than our salespeople do...
