Default New Polo BlueMotion.

Translated from http://www.vg.no/bil-og-motor/artikkel.php?artid=537482

When the new Volkswagen Polo is released as a low-emission car in a year, it will beat everyone in CO2 emissions.

The new Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion is one of the most important world premieres at the 79th international carshow in Geneva.

These days we barely lift an eyebrow over cars using 1/2 liter diesel per 10 kilometer. 120 CO2-gram emission is a magical limit for EU, who has said that the average emission for all cars has to get down to 120 CO2-gram no later than 2015, or it will cost the manufacturer.

With a CO2 emission of 87 grams per kilometer, the car represents a giant leap for conventional combustion engines.

Ooh I like the way that looks. It's weird but cool. It reminds me of like a mini cooper scion hybrid.

Will it be released in the US next year or just overseas?

we will probably never see a polo in the us.

it would be priced FAR too close to the rabbit, which would make the rabbit's sales tank, and the rabbit is the #1 car for vw right now.

Thumbs up

Actually, the Jetta is VW's #1 seller in the US. And, at least for Feb. 2009, the new CC was the #2 seller.

Rumor has it (at least from vwvortex) that we may indeed see the Polo in the US, but it probably won't have any interesting engine choices.

Personally, I think it's a pretty nice car!!!

Here's some excellent pictures:

I never liked the polo models, it's pretty ugly. But this one looks like the Golf VI and I love it!!! I really hope it will be exactely like in the picture
Well selling rabbits (Golf) is pretty easy in europe even that we have toooo much polos. but a lot of people like to pay more for a golf (rabbit)

I'm not that bothered about emissions what ever car i drive its a lot better than some V8s that are driven in the US

I drive a NB because its a beetle no other car will make me change the way i feel about beetles
