Didn't Porsche try to take over VW a few years ago?

Actually that is still ongoing. Each of them is trying to take over the other.

Go to the World business, finance and political news from the Financial Times – FT.com US

"Search" for Volkswagen and read the 1st couple of pages for thw/Porsche stories. It sounds like a cross between family feud and a soap opera.

If Porsche takes over VW, great. If VW takes over Porsche, we're screwed.

Or at least, Porsche owners would be.

Ok yeah I was a little confused...I thought it was the other way around. Interesting to see they are trying to go both ways on this. I feel like Porsche has the upper hand really though, and they do own a very large percent of VW.
