Default New Beetle "BlackOrange" Special Edition

This is wicked-sick. How come Germany gets all the good stuff???

The New Beetle “BlackOrange"

New special edition for the New Beetle saloon and Cabriolet available in Germany saving 3,040 euros

Wolfsburg, 16 November 2009 -- Volkswagen is offering a contrast to the dull grey autumn days by introducing the New Beetle ‘BlackOrange’ special edition to the market. This exclusive limited edition model series is available in Red Rock (orange) metallic or black, with both versions sporting special edition logos running along the base of the doors and rear quarter panels.

Emphasising its lifestyle and sporting attributes, the ‘BlackOrange’ New Beetle is fitted with 17-inch “Sarasota” light alloy wheels. The sporty theme is continued inside with the three-spoke steering wheel plus upholstery on the sports seats in “Orange Stripes” design.

The style continues with carpet mats and gearshift gaiter decorative seams in Burnt Orange and pedals with decorative aluminium inserts. Air-conditioning keeps temperatures chilled and sounds are provided via a Gamma radio/CD system. The interior features are completed with a centre armrest and electric windows.

Customers can save up to 3,040 euros with the ‘BlackOrange’ special edition in relation to a comparable New Beetle model. This latest version of the New Beetle saloon and New Beetle cabriolet are available to order now with prices starting from 22,500 euros (with 102 PS engine).

All data and equipment contained in this press release apply to the German market and may differ for other countries. Source: Volkswagen Media Services, Wolfsburg.

Ditto. I was excited when I saw a Black / Orange special edition. Thought it was going to be some kickass looking black/orange car.

The pictures are a bit disappointing.

I like the coloring, but the words "BlackOrange" on the side of the car are lame.

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

Words = lame
Concept 1 Roof on the hard top orange = sweetness

That would rock if they had the sport seats ... with orange in the black and black in the orange. With an orange top on the black one. Yoy!

Words on side

No words on side

Per the pictures, the black ones have no orange, aside from the graphic?

Ya i noticed that ... Why are they pink?
It looks funny having pink with orange? The tails should be red or orange to match. Weird ...

Those aren't real cars. They're drawings (renderings?) so I'm sure they'll be red. It looks to me like they tried to make the tails to look like they're shiny and light is reflecting off of them.

Now what would be cool would be a Owners-designed nB. I think we could cook some sweet designs

So all I really need to do is put an orange sticker on my black vert and I can call it a special edition?

Kinda lame...

I was saying the same thing Buckbeetle. Then Jack brings up a good point... the interior. I'm wondering if it's going to be like the Snap Orange CC interior? That might be the big styling cue that we're not aware of. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Yep. Aren't you excited? Can't wait to buy your sticker?

Only thing it's missing is the "Lamer Edition" windshield banner! (you may not get that one unless you've been around a few years )

If you look at the pictures closely, the top up pics seem to have white seats, and the top down pics look like all black seats to me.

It looks like one of those tacky dealer installed stripe kits that they slap on and call it a "special edition".

I still say, lame!

Yep, you are correct. It's sad as well as lame. You would think that the interior would've been at least the selling point other than 'slapped on' decals. Pathetic.
