Wow, I thought the Microbus concept was dead in the water, but here it is again. Wonder if it will be more favorable this time.

IIRC, the last Microbus Concept stalled because it was going to run about $35k or more. This one should be less. Gimme a TDI version is what I say.

Looks like a Scion on Steroids. Sorry just my opinion. Looks like a four door box, nothing like an old Tansporter, if they looking to capture that market area they need to go back to drawing board. After having said all that it still looks cool.I can envision it lowered with some nice wheels and some suspension mods.

Thumbs up Love it, build it.

LOVE IT. Build it just just like the concept, electric and all. I even love the bench front seat. I know it looks nothing like the Beetle, or anything else on the road. And thats why i bought my Beetle and would buy this car.

Smart move on VW's part. Maybe the not-entirely-original design will evolve with time into something more distinctive.

I like it! It has the microbus flair to it- close enough to call it a VW. I'd hit it!

Maybe its the Scion/Element market (with child maybe) they are shooting for.

Having been the proud owner of a 1971 VW Bus, 1977 VW Transporter, 1979 VW Transporter !980 VW Vanagon, I would LOVE to add THAT to my list!!!! I love it! Unfortunately, I would guess if they were to release it, it would be much more than I would be willing to pay.

I'm a little biased, but I like the VW much better.

I don't know if your comments were laced with sarcasm or not BUT, I agree- guess i'm biased too

At least with the microbus, it's a bus/van-like vehicle. The xB is sad, because it the first-gen was awesome; they screwed it up with the new design IMHO. Turned a cool car into a van if you ask me... but you didn't so I'll end this post

Nope, no sarcasm at all - I really like it!

TDI, manual transmission, cloth heated seats and the new Fender audio system and I'm in. I'd like to retire our Eurovan to vacation and Home Depot duties only.....
