New "Beetle" spotted.

Think I'll start searching for another Air Cooled at least I will know EXACTLY what it is and no one can tell me diferently.

I'm sure if they are going to debut them in 5 days there are some running the streets now. But most people who are'nt VW enthusiasts wont notice the difference. I say take them back to their origins, rear engined, not necassarily Air cooled and bring back a more true to Beetle shape.
This one has had a good run most car manufactuer's run body style's in the 10 year range, this one has exceeded that by a few years.
Time for a change and for those of you who don't agree sorry. It's the way things are. Just look at the Mustang for instance, how many body styles has it had? And how many years did each last?

It's a cute one. They made it more wagon like, so that it could compete well with Mini which sells much better. Still Volkswagen is crazy, whey are they offering a V5 engine when V4 is more than enough for this small vehicle.

You have a good point buddy

It kinda steams me when some can't accept that this new model is a beetle. Heck, when the air-cooled bugs changed from different styles, even the super beetle, you still knew it was a beetle. Come to think of it, some back then didn't like the changes either. Even so, I think the air-cooled bugs are more accepted an canonized as a beetle, more so than people accepting the '12 beetle.

We're still pretty new in the life of the `12 beetle. I'm sure in time it will grow on folk as did the bugs of old.

I look at the 2012 Beetle as a Beetle, I just like the New Beetle style, from 1998 to 2010 Better, and I wish they would have left the round cluster alone.

I have always enjoyed seeing people's New Beetles looking stock, or seeing them give them a more custom look, which can make them look more aggressive, I just don't see much you will be able to do with the 2012 style Beetle, but time will tell.

I am glad Vw is still going to make a Beetle, but if I get another bug it would be a New Beetle style Convertable, but first I will continue with my plans ( Mods) for Rosebug, my 2008 New Beetle!
