I got to see a dealers price list on 2012 beetle turbo

Went to VW dealer today to price some parts. Got talking to one of the sales managers. I asked when the new beetle comes in and he said they would have two for the public to drive and order from in about a week and a half, delivery would be in Oct. I mention that as far as I new the turbo would come only with a DSG transmission and he asked me into his office and showed me what could be ordered on the turbo model. Get this, basic turbo with manual shift, the MSRP was 23,400 something. Add the fender sound system and sunroof with keyless entry and it shot up over 26k. I ball park figured in my head if you add fancy wheels, taxes, dealer prep, and shiping, you got yourself a 30,000.00 car. I didn't ask about the automatic. The sales person said he would call me when the test cars were availible to drive and I should think about trading my NB. I told him, only if I get 15 for mine , he just smiled
