Call me a fool, but I just don't see the "Rabbit" rebadging as a good thing. I would think that NA customers would like the same name as that of its European counterpart. Plus the VW rabbit got caught by the US fox a long time ago and I just don't see how changing the name is going to help sales. If anything I see it hurting.
Maybe I'm wrong here, but the rabbit wasn't a dreamers car to begin with. It's going to be like renaming something the Edsel. ![]() |

I think the Rabbit rebadging is a great idea. The "Golf" badge has never caught on with the NA market.
From what my friends in VW tell me, VW's planning a big marketing push for the new Rabbit and its $15,000 price. Should be interesting. |

The name change has definitely grabbed some interest though. Can't tell you how many posts I've read on the various message boards from people who had no plans to get a new car, but now can't wait to get a new Rabbit. Kinda funny.

The Rabbit is nice, but a snap orange cc is better. ![]() |
