OMG!!! Yes! I loved that car. We actually (I can't even imagine doing this now...)moved from Des Moines, Iowa to Phoenix, Arizona(middle of summer) in that little yellow Rabbit. Amazing...

Again, I loved that car!

Call me a fool, but I just don't see the "Rabbit" rebadging as a good thing. I would think that NA customers would like the same name as that of its European counterpart. Plus the VW rabbit got caught by the US fox a long time ago and I just don't see how changing the name is going to help sales. If anything I see it hurting.

Maybe I'm wrong here, but the rabbit wasn't a dreamers car to begin with. It's going to be like renaming something the Edsel.

I think the Rabbit rebadging is a great idea. The "Golf" badge has never caught on with the NA market.

From what my friends in VW tell me, VW's planning a big marketing push for the new Rabbit and its $15,000 price. Should be interesting.

Well, like it or not, whether it was called a Rabbit or a Golf, it was all the same thing. The US Rabbit was nothing more than the MKI Golf.

The name change has definitely grabbed some interest though. Can't tell you how many posts I've read on the various message boards from people who had no plans to get a new car, but now can't wait to get a new Rabbit. Kinda funny.

Now I just don't know what to do...Do I keep my Snap Orange CC and buy out my lease for $10,000...or do I buy a brand new Rabbit for 15,000?

If I were you I'd keep the Snap Orange CC.
The Rabbit is nice, but a snap orange cc is better.

Thanks. I probably will do just that, but it's hard to resist a brand new VW for 15K!
