Honey badger drives a 2004 light blue turbo convertible

I've really been hating the gas mileage situation on my Ford Explorer since relocating from CO to CA. It went from 18 mpg to just 13. And the parking garage, where I work, has such tiny spaces. So I've been looking for a small, fun car that I can just enjoy. And I didn't want to spend very much.

I've looked long and hard at used Boxters and they simply don't inspire me. Nothing against folks who have them. I've also looked at the Mini Cooper. And I do like them. But the car I have found myself secretly lusting after has always been the convertible turbo beetle, but in that light blue.

It's not often I see one. But when I do, I always find myself staring. So, I finally decided not to settle any longer.

Now, all the teasing has begun. I know I could have gotten a more "manly" combination. But then I would still be wanting something else. Life's too short to settle or to worry what others might think.

I could use some help with names, however. And my beetle is a she.

well, for me, it's 175K miles later, and some of my friends still give me a little bit of 'feed' for driving my beetle...

still, i've been driving Ikiane for 11+ pretty much trouble free years...so i'm fine with all the jokes.

love that robin's egg blue NB...and since it's a girl, why not Robin for a name?

I have no idea why, but the names Heidi and Gretchen come screaming out of the computer monitor every time I see the pics of your beetle.
