Default Hi!

I've actually been a member on here for a while and I'm finally popping in here to say hi and introduce myself!

I have a '99 silver beetle gls, affectionately known as "the thug bug". Its got a supercharger, carbon fiber, and all that jazz, (bought it used and it came that way)

Anyway, gonna go explore the forum now since I've been having some issues.

You are a better man than I my friend.

Default Yeah!

Great to see another Florida New Beetle. Where are you located? The North Fl area is starting to heat up with NBs these days. We have a GTG at Old Town in Kissimmee this Sunday night for the Marine Corps' Toys for Tots program. Admission is a new toy worth more than $10.00. Last year there were about a dozen New Beetles there out of 350 total Volkswagens. This year we are hoping for more.

Can't wait to see pics of your machine and maybe meet you at some of the growing New Beetle events. There are more and more events happening and lots to see and do.

When I bought it back in '08, it was on 20" chrome rims, had a yellow dash kit and headliner, a carbon fiber hood and 2 10" subs/amplifier in the back.

Rims were too big and kept giving me problems so I sold those, removed the dash kit, sold the subs/amplifier. Headliner is still yellow though I keep meaning to paint it black.

I'm kind of embarrassed of the shape it is in right now because the carbon fiber hood has completely delaminated from the sun. I'll see if I can find some pictures of its "glory days" and put them up.
