Default Opportunity for 30 New Beetlers -- earn $2,000.00 and support NewBeetle.org!

Loyal members:

NewBeetle.org has been approached to see if we can assist in recruiting 30 Beetle owners for a four to five month marketing promotion for a major pharmaceutical company. It would require participants to have their Beetles wrapped with a specific promotion for the upcoming flu season. The installation and removal of the wrap would be all taken care of by the marketing agency and all you have to do is drive as you normally do, nothing less and nothing more. Accepted participants will receive $2,000.00 for their participation.

If you are interested in being considered for this promotion, please register at www.memads.com. This particular promotion is strictly limited to the VW New Beetle. If we at NewBeetle.org are able to assist in the fulfillment of this promotion the agency has agreed to not only compensate the drivers but provide a nice chunk of financial support for this site. So, this is an opportunity not only to make money for yourself, but to help NewBeetle.org continue to thrive. This is a pretty time-sensitive situation -- they're looking for people like now.

Once again, if you are interested, you can register at www.memads.com, or if you have any questions and would like to speak with a live person to find out more about the program, you can contact Bradley Lewis at 888-914-EYES x55, or email Bradley at blewis@memads.com.

Thanks, guys, for your continued support of the site. Hopefully this will allow both you and the site to earn a bit of cash!

Jeff

hmmm, as soon as i see something like this, i immediately think "what's the catch?" can anyone share a story if they've done this sort of thing before? and what exactly is being slapped on our cars? a flu drug ad? sounds harmless enough.

yeah, $2,000 would be nice, but there has to be a catch. i just know it. for instance, is it just a straight $500 a month, no matter what? or is it a proportion of that amount, depending on how much you drive your car? ie: would someone like myself only get $50 a month since i don't drive much? i wouldn't want to go through the hassle of getting my car wrapped for $50 a month. do you have to drive certain places? be on the road so much?

scams are everywhere nowadays and this one sounds like one of those "if it's too good to be true" things. i just can't believe someone would pay me $500 a month to drive my new beetle around town with an ad for a flu drug slapped on it.

/me goes to research this thing...

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

I'm seriously giving this some thought. It would help pay for 1/2 of my school plans... Does anyone know if they wrap your whole car?

I signed up, but we'll see... my commute isn't very far and I don't know if what they have in mind will work on an NBC.

I'll sign up. It's not like my Beetle hasn't been wrapped (more or less) in vinyl before.

It all depends on what the wrap looks like. If it's a decent looking logo I'm game, I think. Is there a way to see the graphics before signing up?

Prolly not, but you aren't committed to sign with them for just applying.. I'm sure you could say no after seeing what they propose to you.

I talked to this Brad Lewis. He says it's not set in stone yet. They have to submit the ideas to the company and see if they bite. The company is Hoffman Larosch? Should know in a few weeks. We can always decline. Just because we register doesn't mean we have to accept. I registered. I can live with a funky car for a few months for that $$

I went ahead and did the online app. I could use the bucks, plus the NB does get some good driving time now since my husband and I swap cars throughout the week. His driving record is less than stellar (no speeding or accidents tho) so we'll see how that goes!
