Lightbulb Don't mess up with your Beetle - Here is an easier way to light your bud vase

I was tempted to light my bud vase but didn't want to open the hood. Bear in mind that you may lose the car's warranty if you screw up the electronics by yourself! So, if you don't wanna take the risk of messing up with the electronics but still wanna light your vase, here is easier and safer way to do it:

1. Buy a "Portable Flex Light".
2. Bend the wire.
3. Put the LED into your vase.
4. Stick the switch on the vase's exterior.

***This LED light is battery-operated, and can be switched on/off.

P.S. - It can be found in any auto parts store and costs about 10 bucks~

The effect is as good as the complicated method!

that takes all the fun out of doing mods. plus it donest turn on and off with the lights, wotch is like the whole point of it.

Doing it this way is great for people that never open thier hood themselves.

you could also make an LED throwie.

LED Throwie.

But if you put water in the vase it would'nt work as
a led throwie is an LED throwie is a l.e.d, battery and sometimes magnet.(solution:just the tape the led/watch battery to the bottom of the vase)

I thought about making an VW symbol with LED throwies and sticking them on the rear decklid but I would probably be pulled over in the first 10 miles.

Check out youtube for some creative graffiti with led throwies.

bah you dont even have to open your hood. My way is simple, easy and permanent. Plus it looks totally OEM.
