There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

The grill and lens covers look great. Certainly, this wrtie up will help others... and isn't that really what the ORG is all about!

thanks! i was glad to finally get this done. it was harder than i thought, but now that i've done it...i hope to never do it again!

oooooooooooh, i just read through your ghetto grill install - very nice! nice shot from the inside. can i ask why you took the entire front end off to do the ghetto grill install? i re-read your install thread and i keep seeing something about clips or tabs. am i missing something here? the lower grill just popped in and out when i removed it.

- the 1999 model requires you to take the whole frint clip off. I think in 2001 there was a design change to allow for just the front valance and grill to be removed.

- You know, you are lucky that yours popped right in and out. My grill was a little stubborn to remove from the valance, and no way would that thing have popped out without removing the entire front clip.

the grill/lower panel was all cracked and broken and scraped and looked like doodie. it was an aesthetics thing. didn't need it replaced, wanted it replaced.

Did you all have any trouble during re-installation keeping the center top section from popping out? It's a pain but it looks like the center section tabs are in the bumper, but after a few days of driving it pops out a little looks like crap.

Any suggestions?

no, i did not. you have to shove it in there pretty good. with mine, there are tabs that kinda lock into place, along with the few screws and rivets. with the exception of the screws and rivets, the main piece, the lower panel, just gets pushed into place.

do you have any pics you can share?

i got my parts from 1stvwparts.com - they are reasonably priced. they don't come painted though. there is a set of wiring for the fogs. look at my picture 3 and 4 on the previous page. good luck!

Wow! Ummmm after looking at the removal of Freaky Beetles front grill, I can't mentally handle doing that. . . .to see Evilina in pieces just to change something cosmetically . . I really can't.

2 Thumbs up for those that have done it!! You all ROCK!!

That is CORRECT! This is what would happen done with the emoticons then you would have to slap me back to sanity and I would be left like this .

SO! Evilina will just have to deal with not having a pink grill. . . .unless someone wants to take a trip to Las Vegas and I'll just cover my eyes the entire time
