Question Possible to Make Turbo S Lights Blue?

Hello,

I should be taking delivery of a 02 N.B.T.S. this weekend, and I'm totally psyched. However, one of the things I've always liked about other people's VW's is that fabulous blue lighting, and the extra-fancy Turbo S doesn't have it! Just plain' ol' white lights.

Is it possible to put the "stock" blue lights in the Turbo S dash pod? How difficult would this operation be? I've searched the forums for a couple hours and can't find anything on changing the Pod-lights...but I did find a thread about changing the gauge-faces, and man, even that looks pretty complicated.

thanks in advance!

You would have to swap out your cluster for a non-Turbo S cluster, since all lighting is done by L.E.D instead of bulbs.

Yeah, this is looking pretty unlikely now, at least for a long time.

If a "cluster-swap" was eventually done (*sounds kinda dirty*) does the regular Beetle Turbo have the 160mph speedo with blue lights?

The Turbo S "white" which is in my opinion a greyish light is there to coincide with the the grey interior accents. Just thought I'd put that nugget in your head.
