help me please!

Ok so my 06 beetle needs some better tail light bulbs, cause thats just the way i roll, but i cant seem to find the way to change the freakin things....Dang Germans .....gotta make everything so hard!! im going to the store tomorrow to get the junk so i can light my vase and change my bulbs.....so if any of you know how to do this if you could just let me know that would be excellent

Try a search.

Mainly, it should be like the 1998-2005 NBs. There's a small access panel for each side, inside the trunk. Remove it, and remove the thumbwheel. Pop the light out, voila. Just be careful not to scratch anything.

I know that I am not the only 2006 new beatle owner who hates ugly . . . especially cables. So where did you go to get a 12 inch audio patch cable? Is there a custom cable maker out there? How did VW forget this as a customer satisfaction opportunity?
