Default Emblem on dash...

I have an emblem i want to stick on my dash between the two middle vents but it won't fit.Can I stick it on the rubbery part where the passenger airbag is? Will it stick? Hard to get off if I want? Anyone have any stickers there?

I used a reproduction of the Karmann Koachworks emblem, a really nice glossy black cloissone'd metal badge. Just drilled 2 small holes in the dash for the posts and then used black caulking to stick it on. Fits perf between the vents. Will really look fab when I get my center dash painted in gloss black.

If I were you tho, I'd use an OEM Turbo S badge or maybe this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PORSC...spagenameZWDVW

Default Frustration

I'm getting tired of things falling off of my dash. I'm always putting things such as cell phones, radar detector, magazines, paperwork, etc. up on the dash and when I speed up or round a turn everything seems to crash down to the floor board. Is there anything on the market that can prevent this? Any sort of aftermarket part??

Yeah it's called DRIVE SLOWER It happens to me too I put my phone in the cup holder and everything else goes on the passenger seat. The radar detector should be up higher. Put it up near the visors with suction cups or a clip on the visor.

Check your local Wal-Mart for something called "sticky-pads" (or something similar). Should be in the automotive section, and I paid about $3 for one. They cling to the dash without leaving any sticky residue, and provide enough resistance to keep your cell phone from flying...

How wide is the emblem? Our cars are usually too round for a flat emblem. That emblem might look better outside under the side marker under the side view mirror. Putting it above the grab bar might interfere with the airbag deployment.
Sorry about the hyjack.

When I was Beetle shopping, I looked at a white one that had one of those pads on the dash and it did leave a film underneath, one of the reasons I didn't buy that car. Maybe it was becasue this car sat out in the sun a lot. Maybe it could be removed as well, but not sure on that.

Where did you get the Wolfsburg emblem? And how difficult was it to replace the VW emblem?
