Does anyone here know if the Audi TT stainless steel vent rings will fit the vents on a NB? If you already have them, could you please post pics in order to see what they look like? I ask only because I may be getting a set of the four from a buddy of mine. Thanks.

Are talking about the Vents themselves?
They fit with a little manipulation for the outers and the center vents require alot of work to get them installed and even more if you want them to be operable. What exactly are you getting from your friend? ![]()

Luv these. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can't move the vents up and down?
The other downside is the HUGE reflection of the ring you get in your driver's side window when it's up. Here's Lam's Turbo S interior, just beautiful. U can also go 'smaller and simpler' with dimpled vent rings like mine.

The vent positions still move up and down and side to side to direct the air, just no on or off of air flow. Mine stick out like they do because I wanted to be able to turn them on and off and keep that gearing intact. Bhrific has a cleaner solution for this type of install. |

Where did you get your "smaller and simpler" dimpled vent rings? Are they from the TT or an aftermarket type? Also, do the "TT's" require any removal of the dash or do they just replace the current vents from the front of the dash? Thanks, Gus Last edited by Silver04; 09-21-2006 at 08:21 PM.. |

He's def. got the cleanest install I've ever seen.
I had seen one person do this before on the old org and he even sold his center recently...well before the new org - but I had already done my install. BTW - you might check to see how much they go for now...I got mine before they inflated the price - I think I paid about $27-30 for each of mine and if I recall last time I checked they were selling for over $100 each. So you have a hot commodity if you are getting them for free from someone. |
