Default Mirror Switch Replace

Hey all,

I am replacing my drivers side mirror switch. I have the part and have read that you have to take the interior door panel off to replace. Does anyone have a how to on this as I don't want to mangle my new baby.

Thanks...

Three Torx screws at the bottom, 2 inside the handle (gently pry the cover off) lift straight up.. check for wires inside the door panel, and where they are attached.
3 Torx where? on the bottom of the door frame? This was kinda vague as I wasn't sure whether the screw referred to were the ones required to remove the handle latch or the entire door panel.

thanks.

Yes, torx screws are at bottom of door frame and in the handle. You have to pry off the handle cover (use a "flat tip" screw driver) and try to avoid scratching it... The rest may be tricky as the panel is held to the door by clips. Also, to get off the panel after you get out the screws and clips require a little patience and persiverance.... even more so to get it back on (remember to unclip the connectors when taking off and reconect when putting back on). But it is 100% doable even for someone not mechanically inclined.

Note.. I found that it is easy to get the switch out from the clips if you insert a thin blade (be careful though) in the space between the switch and the clips that hold it. Sorry i dont have pics!
