Default S2000 Antenna - base seems too big??

I got a S2000 antenna off ebay but the base of the antenna doesn't match the size when I remove the OEM antenna from the car. Love the stubby look, just not the difference in width when you attach it. Hubby says no one but me will notice, but well, I DID NOTICE and thinking its gonna drive me nuts now.... I was wondering if anyone else had that issue too - or if I'm stressing on this a bit too much. I checked the forums w/other members w/replacement antennas and the pics look like theirs match up better than the one I got...

FYI - I've got a 02 NB Turbo S - is the base different on this model that other NB's?

Anyone want to buy a day old S2000 antenna??

I have an S200o antennae and mine does not match the size perfectly. When you look at it the first time it looks a bit weird, but after a couple of times you will not notice yourself. It is very hard to see. No need to worry you will see

ps I have pics too and it is just hard to tell in the pictures.

I understand. And I felt the same way, I ended up going with one similar to that "Y-series, black"

I don't think many people will know; but I dunno what that matters. I mean, I didn't modify my bug for other people; and I doubt you do, as well.

I too have that antenna. It really bugged me all the time for a few weeks. Now it just bugs me when I wash or wax Chip I can't go back, my old one literally broke in two and I'm not getting another OEM just to have it break.

LOL - I knew you guys would understand! I'll give it a couple days and see how it grows on me - I'm watching another one on ebay that looks smaller - just hate to buy ANOTHER one and it be the same situation.
