I just saw these for sale locally, $500 for all seats and headrests (including side air bags) from another NB. Used for 2 years. Do you think that's a good deal?
It would be a really nice treat for Ladybug's interior even though I don't so much like sitting on leather myself But I've got a couple of questions: 1) Would they for sure fit in my '98, or only depending on what year bug they come from? 2) Am I right in assuming that just because these are leather NB seats, they MUST be heated? 3) How much work would it be to wire these hypothetically-heated seats in to my bug, that doesn't have heated seats? Thanks ![]()

just because they are leather does not mean they are heated. the heated seats are not terribly hard to wire up, but the switches cost a buttload from the dealer (like $100 each) so it'd be better to get them from somewhere else.
also depending on the year, the airbag or seatbelt plug is different. I know that i had to splice my 99 connectors onto the turbo s seats and vice versa for the seat swap. But if you are up to wiring hte heated seats, that is a cakewalk.

Ewa, there's also the option of buying aftermarket seat heaters for your current seats, and I hear they're awesome on cloth!
I got a Katzkins brand when I had my seats reupholstered, and had them put the switch in the factory position, though it's not a factory looking switch. Sorry, but I don't remember the cost of them.
