Default Bud Vase @ VW

At lunch yesterday I stopped in to the local VW to check availability of some parts and check prices. Well nothing I wanted was in stock. The bud vase wasn't a big deal I have a clear one. But saw on the vw site that they were cheap. 1.79 or something like that. When I asked about the brushed steel bud vase he looked it up, and almost fell over. $159.99! I haven't seen one but from the description it was the same as all the others except it has a metal band at the top?

or it it solid metal? For $159.00 it should be....

I'm not sure if it's all metal. It's possible.

Here's the billet one on ebay

I think its the Turbo S vases that came in all metal. But there certainly are all metal ones. I have one in my car

in it, but never did, I have a sunflower yellow car, I have
always put daisys in my vase.

At those prices it should be made from platinum.
There are plenty of substitutes for the thrifty.

The "all metal" vases are aftermarket items, and hence, everywhere you look for them, they cost a bundle.

The billet version that the TS had, had the small aluminum trim on top but was plastic otherwise, and much cheaper to make. But still, $159-$199 is way to much to pay for an all metal bud vase.

If you pop over to Aiwana, you can get an aluminum vase for $33.
Aluminum Bud Vase : HERE

or, the alternate version, same site, different page, you can get in red, purple, or brushed aluminum, for around $42.
Colors & brushed aluminum : HERE

Hope that helps!

I have purchased multiple items from Aiwana and always got them very quickly from them

I put a billet vase in the '03. The caveat about the aftermarket vases is that they do not have locking tabs like the OEM ones, and can pop right out.

Gawd, I'm discussing vases...
