Default Rear Window Louvres for 2000 Beetle?

I've looked all over but I can't find anyone that sells rear window louvres for a 2000 Beetle. Does anyone even make these and where could I get some? Thanks!

You might want to ask our fellow orger "miss ruby" I believe she had some on her's many moons ago.

And uh, brace for impact. You'll soon be hit with some louver haters. I don't care for them, but do what makes you happy- and good luck on your search.

And post some current pics of your bug.

I've been slowly CAD designing my own actually to attach to the interior/underside of the rear window. I have the actual slats designed and measured out but just need to get the right material and have them cut at the local waterjet cutting place. i think I'm going to need some custom brackets to actually bolt them onto the car but I haven't gotten that far yet.

I'll get some photos of it once it's all in mostly one piece. I've taken apart quite a bit of it to measure things accurately so it's in pieces all over my garage at the moment. Believe it or not I'm actually toying with having the louvres collapsable so I can close them to hide the "trunk" of the beetle with a little servo but the curve of them needs to change as they rotate/close due to the angle of the glass/hatch so that's something I need to see if I can work out.

Making the parts is easy, it's designing them that's hard.

interior louvers would be freakin sick..... OG style. I would be all over a set for the wife.

my buddys got some old skool exterior ones on his rabbit.... they are pimp, but the beetle is just begging for an interior set.
