Default 02 jetta wheels on 98 beetle

Hello all,

I am looking for winter rims, and came across some 15" rims and tires, but they are off of an 02 jetta. 5 bolt pattern. Just wondering if the bolt patterns are the same on both the 02 Jetta and 98 Beetle? Oh its a 2.0L Beetle.

Thanks,

Brent.

Both are MK4 so yes, the wheels will fit. Make sure the 15" rims clear the brakes. They should since it is a 2.0.

Any Mk4 Golf-chassis wheel will fit without any work. Golf/Jetta 1.8T/VR6 models have the same brakes as NB 1.8Ts do, and did come with 15" wheels stock.

The bolt pattern is 5x100mm, for reference.

What about 5 x 100 wheels from an Audi TT? I was thinking of something like Fat 5's, just to be different.

I see this guy (below) has installed Fat 5's so it must be possible, I don't know if spacers and longer bolts were required because of offset differences....

Oh damn, those are sexy. Audis however do not use 5x100, they use 5x112.

Actually the TT is 5x100 - at least the first few years were. And yes they will fit. Not sure about a longer stud bolt but I don't think so.

Thanks for the reply....

My B5 Passat is 5 x 112 as are most other Audis, this is true. The TT is 5 x 100 like the other 5 lug Mk4 VW's. I think all Mk5's went 5 x 112, I have a set of new Rabbit steelies with snows that i run on the Passat.

My apologies then, assumed the beetle pictured was the newer 5x112 lug pattern.

All beetles are 5x100 since they are still the MKIV platform. At this time, no beetle comes from the factory with a 5x112 pattern. You can get adapters to mount a 5x112 however.

Thought they changed with the facelift in the MKV era. I suck at knowing Beetles, lol. Thanks for the corrections though, learned something.
