I got my big a$$ box today. Everything looks great.

Since I know nothing about a TurboS what are the small lights up next to the headlights for? Turn signal or fog? If turn signal then why the big holes for my old turn signals? Seems like they were an after though with the goofy bezels around them.

Also why the stereo removal keys? Not a complaint just thought is was weird to include with a bumper kit.

Jon,

One question on this:

Quote:
A sporty rear bumper for your beetle

Complete the aerodynamic transformation of your New Beetle by adding this sport rear bumper to your purchase of front valance and side skirt.

The lower diffuser for this cover is no longer available from Volkswagen.
What piece is the lower diffuser exactly? So, is the rear not a "complete" kit then?

Appreciate your help understanding.

Thanks...TechnoTrix'd...

Thanks for the order! Those tools are actually to release the tabs on the side markers.

Yes, these will work just fine on any of the non-facelift cars, so pre 2005.

Correct, unfortunately the lower center section of the rear bumpers (diffusor) is sold out from VW, so only the main bumper section is available.

Another update on things, the front bumpers are now sold out and no longer available. We still have some of the rears available, but numbers are limited.

Rob, the rear diffuser stands off from the rear bumper about an inch--it houses the back up lights. Frankly, what's the point w/o the diffuser? It completes the look.

Thanks Bill, that's what I was thinking, but I appreciate the confirmation.

Not a good update at this time btw. Just got off the phone with ECS, and I might have purchased a "vapor" inventory item (bumper kit).

As you know, I've been traveling since the middle of the month and Pepe Jr is no longer my daily driver. So, it's not the highest item on my "to-do" list every day.

Went on-line to check the shipping status, and the order stated "back-ordered". Now I have three things on the original order, but it did not specify which one was unavailable.

The person who I talked to was very nice and concerned with the situation, but did not have the support team available to help investigate this evening.

Understand computer inventory systems, and know that these things do happen. Not really upset about that part.

What I am really not happy about is that an open req has been sitting with ECS since the 13th of March, and not one person from the company has reached out to me to follow-up on it.

No phone call, e-mail or snail mail regarding this open req (which is over $200.00 btw).

Been a customer of theirs since 2001/2002 but apparently, that doesn't hold much water anymore.

Might be looking to give other vendors more of my business going forward to keep both of my VW's running in good shape then. I have normally had good customer service from the likes of 1stvwparts.com and ngpracing.com in Baltimore MD.

Really a shame, because the bug is going under the knife this month, and I need a ton of stuff (gaskets, hoses, belts, turbo kit 'not sure if I go new or just hit a bone yard', oil pan, return line, etc..) to bring new life into the 140,000 mile 1.8t. After I put the four program APR chip into it last year, it really needs some love else ware to make it all work really well. Going to spend my bonus check somehow...

Calling back in the morning and will talk with a supervisor, hope they have a good outcome waiting for me.

Thanks..............TechnoTrix'd...
