i skimmed all four pages and don't think i saw this, so sorry if it was asked.

will the rear bumper fit on a convertible? from what i understand the convertible rear bumpers are different. mine is cracked and this would be a good option for a replacement.

rear bumpers do in fact differ from sedan to vert, i'm not entirely sure what the difference is (maybe something in the curvature of the trunk opening?), but there is one.

i for one would like to know the difference, as if it's not severe, there's probably a way to make a sedan piece fit. i mean, the caractere/ats/mattig valances all fit either bumper...so it's gotta be something up top.

It's where the trunk lid meets the hatch and I doubt it's an easy fix since VW probably would have loved to make both cars accept the same bumpers.

Where the trunklid meets the bumper sorry! Sharing such a big part between the two models would have been a saving for VW so they didn't just do it because they felt like it. It would be really interesting to see a NBC bumper on a regular NB, or vice versa depending on which one leaves a gap rather than causes hatch-bumper contact.

well obviously it's not fitting anything 2006+ but i'm still not convinced. i need to know 100% before ordering and painting then finding out i'm SOL. right now, it's looking like the answer is no though.

maybe today i'll find a tin top to park next to and do some inspecting. doubt i'll be able to see anything though.

The votex kits will fit the NBC from 2003-2005

It is the original Turbo S rear that will not fit the NBC

I stand corrected. I have to say the normal NB and Cabriolet trunks always looked to be a different shape to me.

...I wonder why the TS rear doesn't fit though.
