It took a lot of convincing to get my bodyman to shave the big holes in the front. The rears aren't a big deal though.

so what are the difrences between the vortex kit and the s bumpers.

I asume the vortex kits use stock reverse lamps insted of s reverse lamps?

If we are talking about rear bumpers......

Diffuser and bumper are slighty different.

Rear diffuser for turbo s / sport bumper has exhaust cutout for left and right side.

Turbo S diffuser wraps around reverse / fog lights while votex does not.

Although the front is votex for the blue bug, the diffuser for rear makes me think it is a turbo S rear bumper.

This red one is a votex rear.

The rear for the votex diffuser doesnt "wrap around" the fog lights.

Slight differences, but still noticable.

The votex front looks cleaner without fogs imo.

The recess on the Votex bumper also doesn't look as deep.

It's Votex, with no R. Just a helpful hint if you start Googling.

I know that,I work for vw as a tech, my fingers must have thought I was going to a fourm or something

I actuly have a pile of votex parts at the house, haveing some difficalty finding the last two things I need for the beetle.

aka unpainted black side skirts, and a diffuser prefeably the stock exhaust one.

I have some 1985 golf mudflaps still in the plastic shrink wrap in that pile too.

Well you guys aren't trying very hard. The part number is 1C0-071-611-A -9AX and there's still 20 left in the US. They're available from any VW dealer for $29 each.

The part number I gave is the exhaust cutout version. The non-cutout ones are gone so see if your dealer can get that part number ordered.

There are 2 types of rear diffusers? So I can get one with a cutout and use a TS exhaust? Wow!

first off the Turbo S rear diffuser part number is: 1C0807521AGRU and runs $613 from the dealer, $492 from 1stvwparts... really..?? yeah... I replaced mine not more than a month ago...

the part number SMG listed is for the VOTEX diffuser with the exhaust cut-out, that is the one that is listed for $21 at 1stvwparts...

everyone needs to stop confusing the two... which is why SMG said no pictures of Turbo S' in this thread... the Votex is not the Turbo S...

the Votex kit does not in anyway share any parts with the Turbo S (front or rear) nor will the rear diffuser from the Turbo S fit the Votex rear, at least not without cutting it up...

the Turbo S diffuser is one piece and holds the rear back up lights, the Votex rear holds the lights the diffuser does not... look at the pictures, there are clear differences between the two...

Thanks for the info turbos03, was trying to read posts and look at parts with 2 year old daughter pulling at me all the time to come play, not easy to research things like that.
Will go ahead and order parts from ECStuning and 1stvwparts for rear Votex bumper.
Still inbetween beetles here in US, had a projektzwo kitted beetle in UK, was on newbeetle.org.uk as firebug, shame I couldn't bring that bug here with me!.

I understood that. So there are 2 separate diffusers for the VOTEX rear bumper if what SMG says is correct: 1 with cutout, 1 without. This I did not know: I thought we were stuck with either a downturned exhaust or modding the Votex rear diffuser to fit a muffler with straight pipes.

I was just expressing my jubilation as I know how much those other (I will not say the name again) bumpers and associated parts cost which is why I bought the Votex kit.
