So, I just got back from picking up my parts from the dealer. I had a couple of people ask questions about the difference between ordering from the dealer and ecs.. As far as i can tell on first look, I got everything the same that is pictured on ECS's website. The rear bumper came with the bumper, the license plate lights, electrical connectors, and the wingnut screws. It did not have the diffusor either though, which is what I'm sure most people were wondering about. Front came with a bunch of electrical bits, grills, light surrounds, the extra lights, and yes.. a plate bracket. hehe

Front Stuff:

Rear Stuff:

Size: 79.4 KB

Sooooo, it looks like the only difference is a couple hundred dollars in shipping.

Actually these are the keys to remove the turn lights in case you need to replace a bulp so you don't have to remove the hole bumper again Volkswagen happens to think once in a while

they must be cleverly disguised as radio keys, then, beacuse t5he little picture in the package shows them being used on the radio, and heaven forbid something has a dual purpose, right! (of course, maybe that was just a creative use someone cleverly thought of and not an approved function of radio removal keys.)

oh, and now that I actually have a set from somewhere else.. when i ordered my parts, i also had them check if they could get the side skirts (1C0071685K9AX).. my dealer said they couldn't get any, but Lindsay VW in Sterling VA had some. I called and talked to them (brian, in parts, i believe) on monday or tuesday (can't remember which), and they said they had some in stock, for 99$, and it was "possible" they'd be able to ship them.. so, if anybody's looking for some and can't find... there ya go.

Hey, are those black things turn signals also? Or are they just the piece that goes in the bumper that gets plastered and painted over for a shave?

Dual front turn signals seem kinda pointless to me . Its not like people signal or even see the signals here in Miami anyways

Well that sucks!! They need to do better than that!! No wonder most folks are shaving them

I'm thinking about going and getting them from my dealer for $45 in the next week

I don't know if I am going to bother with shaving them. I don't want to be someone's guinea pig...

What I am probably going to do is pick up a set of oem clear front turn signals and then it won't be so obvious.
