Default MUDFLAPS- help asap :(

I (Punkinbug.. this thing wont let me log out of Jims account... oh well) want to get mudflaps thanks to the nicks and dings that are littering my back hips. Does anybody have them? Is it going to damage my lovely orange paint? Do they attach through the body or the wheel well things? Pleaaaaseeeee reply soon somebody, I need to order these in the next oh half hour or so to get them in time for the "Big rocky drive"

Well... you might be talking about one of two things (or both).
There are "splash guards" which are what most people think of as "mud flaps"... drivergear has 'em and I'm sure you can probably find aftermarket ones too.

Then there are "fender accents", which, if you're worried about nicks and dings, might be more of what you're after.
drivergear has those, too.

Or you might want both.

The splash guards mount by way of the bolts that are already in the wheel well (holding the inner lining on), I do believe... so there shouldn't be any drilling, etc.

The fender accents I can only imagine stick on with adhesive.

The splash guards tend to collect a lot of mud and debris at the joint between the fender and the flap... which, if left to it's own devices, will ruin the clearcoat and possibly the paint. But if you occasionally break up the debris and clean them with a brush or cloth when you give your NB a wash, you shouldn't have any trouble. Once or twice a year, maybe remove the guards completely to get everything clean.

The fender accents, I'm not sure. I imagine they collect some dirt along their edges, as well. Just keep everything clean and you should be good.

Thanks. I do want the splash guards, and while I know I can get them cheaper, Volks ordered me a set of 4 for around $50. Seems everyone elses dealership is nicer and gets them for 30 but Im extremely lazy and everything is too hectic to wait for something to get to my door.

Thats a great site though for the future... thanks so much!

you do have to drill one hole but it is small and is on the bottom in the rear and inside the front fender I just got mine two days ago and they are going to look hot like this.

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

she isn't worried so much about scraping stuff as her tires throwing stuff up on the sides of the car

I've had mudflaps on my car since i bought it (i got it used and it had black ones already installed).

Here's a note: If you get the spash gaurds, eather only use them on very short intervals, or plan to leave them on forever. YOu dont want to know what it looks like under my spach gaurds with over 90,000 miles of sandwiched dirt and crud.

I don't think those fender accents go up high enough on the back fenders to help with highway speed debris. If you put both flaps and fender guards maybe that would do it?
