Default Aftermarket sunroof

How much would it cost to get a sunroof put into my beetle? I've always wanted a sunroof! lol

A lot. I think the easiest way would be to find someone who is parting out a car with a sunroof and swap all of the necessary parts. Edit: I'm not even sure that will work.

It's been done by a few aftermarket companies but that was ten or twelve years ago. Ask Howie.. He had one on his first car. I would imagine you are looking at least 1k for all the work

You can buy the sunroof itself on eBay from several of the wrecking yards. They usually sell from $250-350, don't forget to pick up the sunroof control dial and surround too.

Getting installed is the big issue. It needs to be installed properly so it doesn't leak. But if you are really in love with your Beetle, I'd say do it.

I wouldn't swap in a factory one from a wrecked beetle. Its almost impossible to get it right, and the cost to do so, you,d be better off sellign your bug and buying one with a factory roof.

Inalfa made ana ftermarket ragtop for the beetle that's was insanely awesome, but they didn't make aalot of them they they're impossible to find now.

I wouldn't put anything else on a non sunroof bug.

Also the factory sunroof takes alot of headroom away. It takes out a lot of the bubbleness of the interior.
