who had the two tone painted dash???

I remember seeing someones interior where the black textured part was painted on the dash. Does anyone recall which beetle that was? I want to say it was painted tan or white? I'm thinking about doing that but afraid of blowing the air bag. Any ideas? Matt thinks it would look weird so I wanted to show him. Thanks!!!

I really would'nt be overly concerned about blowing the airbag by applying paint to it. The airbag works off of electrical circuits that require certain inputs from the sensors for it to activate, so you should be safe in painting it. But if your overly concerned about it you could always disconnect the battery during the painting procedure.

Yeah someone painted or maybe redid the bumpy section. I think it was tan and the rest was black and then of course the normal dash painting. I want to say it was a vert...but gosh I don't remember now. lol
