Default Found a NBC - Can Anyone Tell me if this is OEM?

So we found a great NBC to buy, and we're buying it. The current owner is the 2nd owner, and seems to think that this gold dash/interior trim was factory, but I can't find anything about this stuff.

He said it really looks factory:

Any ideas?

Ick. That does not look factory at all. It would look better if it went all the way up the dash.

Definately after market. If I saw that, I would remove it.

But.....if that is the only "flaw", and the price is right, get it!

Oh yes, I'm not a fan of it. It looks to be some sort of overlay (I haven't actually seen the car in person, I'm doing it based on pictures, video, and conversation), so I'm hoping I can just pop it off and finger's crossed that the original dash isn't damaged by the adhesive (if my suspicions are correct.)

I won't have the car for a couple of weeks, so time will tell.

If that is stick on, sometimes the glue is hard to remove cleanly.

It will be held on with double stick tape...but the areas around the center console/radio is a softer rubbery material (factory finish) and I doubt it will come off clean, probably have marred surfaces.
The lower (cupholder area) is plastic...but it also has some sort of a rubbery finish, but harder than the upper OEM finish.

Just letting you know that it might not just come off clean, might have to consider pulling of...checking the damage - if it looks really bad might consider having the parts painted a color you prefer then re-installing.

Good info. I've had decent luck with heat gun to "melt" the glue prior to pulling it off, but i'll have to balance between replacing parts or not and just leaving it, I guess.
