Default Turbo 'S' emblem replaced

Thought I would keep you guys in the loop on my quest to replace the missing 'S' part of my trunk Turbo logo that was missing when I bought the car.

The VW part is long since discontinued and various online VW parts places, some who still list the part as available, all responded back to me that its no longer around to be found anywhere.

I then started thinking of other manufacturers who have a 'S' logo of some sort and it dawned on me my co-worker, who keeps a NBC in his garage and never drives it, has a Honda S2000R daily driver. I looked at his S logo (which is black on a S2000R) and figured the chrome version on the regular S2000 might work.

It can be ordered at various places but I got mine here for $4.95: 75710-S2A-000 - Honda EMBLEM SET, SIDE (S)

The Honda part # is 75710-S2A-000

The similarity to the original "S" is amazing. Slightly larger than the old one but that just makes it "unique". Great job. Thanks for posting the pics. I took my badge off when we were having the paint done. I never replaced it because the chrome on the "Turbo" is bad. My "S" is in good shape. Someday I'll find a new "Turbo" and will re-badge Gandalf's back side.

Yeah, I actually wasn't aware of the shipping till it arrived. My cousin asked me what I wanted for Xmas and I gave him the link. After he told me what he paid in shipping I responded he should have picked it up from a local dealer - which is what I recommend to you guys if you decide to get one.

About this 3d emblem: what does 3D mean? How is it different?

they stopped manufacture of the emblem of the s cause the turbo s was only made for very short period of time i think, they found so many problems with alot that they shut down the turbo ss, I hear the regular 1.8 turbo better known as supercharged bug is much more powerful, i had one for over a yr and my 2.0 def cant touch the 1.8 actually i believe that the supercharged bug is faster than a 94 ford mustang cobra with short throw shifter and someone who knows how to drive it, my bf had one and i rode in it all it did was spin on take off i didnt actually go anywhere now the bug just takes off so fast in fact that if not careful while making a turn it can flip and thats from stand still. my mom figured that out comin out of the apartment complex first night of havin mine it was on two wheels..sorry guess this is kinda irrelivant i just like bug talk my bad, congrats on finding your S

Relax guys. She has no Idea what a TS is. We went through this on another thread. Now that I read this post I am starting to wonder if she even is old enough to drive.

Ok...I don't want to be mean. So I am gonna give you some good advise that my father gave me when I was young and stupid. He said son, "Before you shoot your mouth off, make sure your brain is loaded". You really need to study up on your NB knowledge. A supercharged NB is a 2.0 with an non factory SC added, a totally different beast, nothing to do with the 1.8T. Your a newbee and we like newbees. What you need to remember, and myself included, when responding to a post, ask youself, do I have anything that IS relevant to this topic. If not, let it go. And for the love of GOD, stop dissing the TS. Most people, like me,sell their NB's to up grade to the TS. The TS is a much sought after car that people who actually know about NB's would love to acquire...That is all Grasshopper....Sorry but it had to be done.
