Default Chicken or The Egg, what should come first?

I'm budgetiing out the next few months of what I'd like to realistically do for my aging 1.8.

As I'll have to replace the rear arm control bushings (my year was the lucky one with the liquid-bladder torsion "spring), I might as well have rear shocks and possibly springs replaced. And if i have to do that, I might as well fork ou the dough for new shocks and springs all around. Nuespeed has a few combinations that see to fall within my thinking.

After that, It should be time for new sneakers. I could just roll up to the local Firestone or something, but wheelsnrims has a Hankook package with some delicious (to me) A4 replica rims for about what I'd spend for someone elese to put tires on my battered-but-loved 16" Raves.

To that end, and this is the icing...body mods. Both my front and rear are candidates for replacement (see:Kickeroo's 2000 GLS Turbo 1.8 aka Matilda) by the local body dudes, and if I have to do that, why not just go for a kit. I have a few that I found on myhotvw that aren't entirely obnoxious, but I don't have a good take on how a tire-and-rim package would look on a body kit that may or may not be designed for a wider tire and rim.

On top of that, we are talking about an 11 year old with 146k, but running as good as new, as far as I can tell. There might not be any shame in just going stock...again (wrecked in 05).

So what should be done AFTER the suspension? Body, or Rims?

I would do safety things first. Then worry about looks last.

1 Suspention
2 Tires and/or rims
3 Body

A stock body still looks good with wider tires, unless you want extremely wide tires with a really wide body kit. Then it will look goofy one way or the other, unless you do both at the same time. Need more info on mods......
