i approve... but you need to work a little bit more black and pink into the interior... the tan needs to disappear. I'm still in the process of deleting all the gray in mine but you get the idea.

It's pink argyle that I got from joanns fabric. They've discontinued it at every store I've gone to so if you find some you should definitely let me know so I can re do my door panels and make a shift boot

Well Darby has let me down. She has a cracked head gasket so my mom found a 98 beetle thats an automatic and has no cool keyless entry with a flippy key(which is a must for me) but this car has a bad transmission the person who has it is going to sell it for like $200 or whatever the dump says they will give her for it. So my dad decided that if we buy it and my dad can fix it and Darby then i can choose which one i want and we can sell the other and make out better than before. Is this a good idea also the 98 one is grey interior so if i took my pink stuff out of darby and put em in it i couldnt move the door panels and then if i tried to sell darby she would look wierd with just pink door panels. And can i install keyless entry and have the key changed to be a flippy key?

lol thanks! yeah hubby and I did it. theres a thread around here somewhere floating around that has the complete diy in it.. but basically you just undo everything on the roof and take it down, rip the foam off and have at it, and do it all backwards.

where did you get the door panels? like the handles ( the ones you use to pull the door close) I've been looking for those with no luck, they want me to buy the whole door panel. I just need the leather thing and the handle

I need the door pull handles too,Ive been told you have to get the whole panel. Can't just get the handle. which really stinks! Ive had a hard time finding panels that aren't really expensive. Good luck!

Smartchick....Im actually wondering where you found the pink dash trim pieces by the grab handle? and beside the guage panel? my grab bars corners are a little rough. I was wanting to see if I could do something in lime green to match her cyber greeness. I am also considering doing the center panels green.
