Cool Any Ideas?? New to mod-ing

I did my first mod about a year ago - painted the cap on my shifter the same color of my car and I love the custom look. I just purchased a black shifter boot to match the car.

I just got a new job and will actually have some income soon! I would like to know if you have any cool ideas for someone who is verrry new to all this. I am very excited!!

some details: Red 1999 beetle with black leather interior and carpeting with a grey roof and center console (want that black sooo bad.) Its a 2.0 5-speed with stock alloy wheels. I am looking to start small and inexpensive just to get the juices flowing and the creativity started.

Oh and I have a small red led light kit i am in the middle of installing underdash with a little red button in the spare slot by the defroster. This is will be put on hold because I ran into a problem with the fusebox. I'm working on it!

ANY ideas would be GREAT! I have been looking at everyones posted photos but its pretty overwhelming for someone as green as I am in this area. Thank you so much and you all have gorgeous cars!!

The best thing to do is roll through the NB Pic's threads and see what kind of things you like and go from there. You can get some awesome ideas, and maybe find some inspiration for your NB. Everyone's tastes are different so I could recommend things until I'm blue in the face and you wouldn't like a single thing, but Ill throw out one thing.....

The first inexpensive mod I did was replace the antenna with a shorter aluminum "stubby" antenna. It was $20 and took about a minute to install. ECS Tuning among others have multiple kinds to choose from.

Good Luck!

haha, That is a great point. Thanks so much, I do like those antenna - mine always hits my garage door because I can't reach it if it goes all the way up!
