I really like this specific design for my car
I found them here but I will probably purchase them where ever I can find them the cheapest. So I have a couple questions: 1. Anyone have these and if so what do you think? 2. I've heard that there is something that may have to be done on the TDI with LED tails. Anyone know about that? I searched around first and didn't really find anything on it but I specifically remember someone mentioning that the glow plug light will flash indefinitely unless you use VCDS to turn this off in some way. thanks guys

I have a red set - never heard about the blinking glow plug thing, would like to hear about that if someone knows.
I took mine out because the drivers side had a short that would come and go so the brake lights didn't come on from time to time, looked like I had a bulb out...but it was the LEDs not firing.

Hello,
As far as the LED portion of you question I cant contribute my 2 cents. I can tell you that after several sets of aftermarket lights on my beetles, they never fit or seal right. The OEM ones are the only lights that will get a tight seal and keep out the moisture. That after market ones tend to fog up with water after some time. Good luck in your venture.

I have those same tails, only the red version. No problems at all, they are plug and play. No moisture problems either, they are a quality set.

I put just LED replacement bulbs in my TDI and i got a constant gwlow plug flash and they didn't always work. i only did this as my subs used to brake the old bulbs but in the end just had to put standard bulbs in and replace them more often.
