Default Products for bonding plastic/shaving bumpers?

Might, and I stress might, experiment with shaving the front bumper corners. I've done alot with metal but not much at all with plastic. Anyone with experience shaving plastic bumpers want to share advice and products to use?

Plan: Go to the wrecking yard and get some pieces of a damaged bumper as filler for the holes. Bond with..? Then use a glaze to fill imperfections. Shape, prime, and paint. Any tips are welcome. Pics are welcome.

acetone works wonders but you have to be careful using it. Play with it on a few 2 liter bottles first to kinda get the hang of it then progress up to bumpers.

Well, I do not do auto body, but I do work with industrial plastic bonding. This is what we use. They run about a Hundred bucks. Covers all types of plastic too. It comes with an hour long CD about auto body plastic welding. I can supply more info if needed

The first attempt at shaving my Votex bumpers used Lord Fusor and it bubbled a few weeks later. The second attempt was with 3M AutoMix and it's holding great.

I was looking around and these run about $200. A little more than I want to spend as I will probably only use it once. Steinel makes a really nice one too but spendy.

There are apparently more than 1 type of 3m automix. Do you happen to have the # off the 1 you used?
