Default Boost Gauge Pods

So I have read every thread related to this issue, so I figure I will get the usual suggestion out of the way first. I do not want a Bernt pod, because I don't like the look of them, and I don't want another 3 gauges, I only want the one boost gauge. I have a New South Performance column pod that came out of my friend's GTI after he totaled it. I know that it will not swap in directly, but my question is this; has anybody ever modified a column mount pod to fit in a NB? The contour of the steering columns appears to be the same, but the pod is too short to fit behind the column. I don't need this thing to look perfect, I just need it to be functional so that I can figure out if my car is boosting correctly again, like I think it is. If anybody has ever made this work, I would love to hear from you. Or if anybody has something neat that they made and want to sell for cheap, I would be interested.

This is the pod that I have:

Google, I guess. I have seen column mount single and double pods for the NB, but haven't a clue where. Didn't save the link. Consider a single pod post mount? Or how about the custom boost guage mount in the center console between the a/c outlets. It was just posted in the last week or two.

I use this one which is made for NB by VDO for 2-1/16 inch gauges. I've had it installed for many years with a VDO Cockpit boost and a vacuum gauge. If you don't want to paint it and want black, it looks fine unpainted.

It is for 2 gauges, but I don't think they carry the single gauge pod any longer for the NB. If the single gauge pod is still made they might be able to order you one.

Has anybody ever tried using a vent pod for an Audi TT in a NB?

I was planning on making single pod dash parts made from OE dash.

Any interest?

If you search center vent gauge pod, I am the one who made that.

I am going to make and upper dash driver's side pod soon.

Depending on how much you are asking for one, this could be something that I would be interested in.

another place you could locate it is if you want to get rid of the vase you could possibly locate the boost gauge there somehow.
