Default Assist Strap Screw Covers

So while removing all the trim pieces to get the headliner out, I broke the screw cover that goes in the trim piece the screws into the assist straps. I broke them on both driver and passenger sides. The part number is printed on the back. 1C0 858 197 B I have found a couple places online that verify this is the part, but I can't seem to find where to buy them. I'm assuming they're just teensy little trim parts. I can't imagine them being more than a few bucks. Thoughts?

I'd be interested in what you find out. I broke my passenger side one a couple years ago when installing the satellite antenna. I figured you would have to purchase the entire assembly, that they wouldn't just sell the cover.

We figured that much. But I'm having a hard time even finding the strap assembly. The search is on. I'm not looking at theose screws forever. Those damn caps were impossible to get off without breaking them!

So the official part number is 1C0 858 197 B and for the beige interior the color code is 3PT. We found that the dealership had them for.....................Are you ready for this?............................................. ............

$23.76................. EACH!!!!!!

Holy effing Lord! *%#$@ That's just robbery. For that much money I'll super glue the bastards back together.

In the meantime Antoine, If I find them for a price most sane people would deem reasonable, I'll pick up a couple for you as well.

We don't have any decent junkyards here. I've tried looking for one, but I can't find any. I found a Beetle one time that was being parted out here in OKC, but it had a gray interior.

Fallon, Antoine,

Did you try any of the online VW Dealers? I find their prices to be deeply discounted in many cases. Ala Glove Box Door, List $185, sell +/- $100.
I've got a massive list if you need it. Also try "Google"ing the part number, many sellers typically come up when you Google a part number.
